Donut Friday Round-Up
What an insane couple of weeks it has been! And it sure is not slowing down for at least another couple of weeks. We can't share details just yet, but I will say it looks like we might be moving to one of our favorite places in a short little while!
If you don't see me round the blogosphere, you'll know why.
Hopefully my life will calm down shortly, but in the meantime, I thought it a good idea to share all the Donut Friday recipes with ya - you know - just in case I haven't made you drool enough on Fridays already.
Let's get this Donut Friday party started!
Asking me to choose which Donut Friday recipe is my fave is like asking a mother what her favorite child is - pretty impossible! Except of course for my mom. I am obviously her favorite. Just don't tell my brother.
Unlike my mother, I cannot choose a favorite child (aka donut), but if I had to choose, I would say Churros were my favorite to eat.
I don't think I need to explain why. Just make them and eat them. Then you too will know.
I opened the series with some Baked Banana Bread Donuts, which are the perfect spin on the traditional Banana Bread. And who couldn't use a little nuts in their life?
Unless they're allergic. Then we have some issues.
Hummingbird Donuts are another spin off a classic cake. And another favorite to eat. Especially the hubs. I didn't expect him to agree to eating hummingbirds as easily as he did!
KIDDING! Please don't report me.
I made these Ferrero Rocher Donuts after it was suggested by a reader and friend of mine. Of course I couldn't say no, because who am I to not allow candy for breakfast?! You want candy for breakfast? Heeeeeeere's a candy donut for ya.
Go ahead and call me Willy Wonka. Like him, I make dreams come true.
Did that just sound creepy?!
I think these ones were my favorite to make. It was right around the 4th of July, and I wanted a hint of red, white and blue, but nothing blatantly in your face, and these really turned out just the way I wanted.
Then I got to stuff my face like mad!
Just make these if you can. The Grilled Berry Sauce and Buttermilk Donut recipe are the perfect way to get your berries and eat 'em too.
I was surprised to see how much you guys all loved these Clean Eating Cinnamon Raisin Donuts!
I guess people want a healthy reason to eat donuts! And really, who can blame you?!
These are gluten free, almost vegan, and really super healthy! I promise they don't even taste like they are this healthy either.
Win - win in my eyes! :)
Can you have a donut series without Classic Powder Donuts? I really don't think so!
It is really hard (in my opinion) to get good photos of powdered sugar, so these photos don't do these babies justice.
Just trust me when I say these were bomb to the dang diggity!
I loved being able to make some Lemon Poppy Seed Donuts a little bit healthier, but still a little indulgent. Because indulgence is important in life.
Double. Chocolate. Salted Caramel. Donuts.
Need I say more?!?!
I had SOOO much fun making Bear Claws into Bear Claw Donut Bites! I just love donut holes, because they are a bite sized treat that you can indulge on any time of the day.
And we don't need to go over the indulgent fact again right???
Annnnd last, but OBVIOUSLY not least, the uber delicious S'mores Donuts!
Again, making a delectable dessert into a sinfully amazing breakfast.
You are very welcome!
Well kids, that's all for Donut Fridays! The series is over, sad as that is!
But you know that doesn't mean you won't see anymore donut recipes, and yes they will probably pop up on Fridays.
Hope you're good with that.
Happy Last Donut Friday!
